- Understand what constitutes childhood trauma and how it affects learning and normal development.
- Hear current Utah statistics on violence and trauma.
- Learn about ways to mitigate long-term effects of family violence and adverse childhood events.
- Explore ways that supportive school environments can foster students’ ability to focus and learn.
- Hear concrete examples to put into action in schools.
- Interact with others taking action to build youth resiliency.
Hear from a national panel of educators with expertise in using trauma-sensitive practices in K-12 classrooms.
