Job Title: Residential Services Night Manager (Bilingual-Spanish Speaking)

Job Summary
Excellent opportunity for a passionate, energetic, and flexible individual to assist with coordinating the daily operations of the YWCA’s Domestic Violence Crisis Shelter. Help to create a safe, respectful, and empowering environment. Provide direct services for the women and children staying in the shelter, and leadership to overnight staff supporting 250 residents. The Night Manager is accountable for the quality and effectiveness of the shelter and directly assists the Residential Services Director [RSD] with administrative tasks, technical assistance, contract compliance monitoring, quality assurance, security, and licensing reviews related to shelter programming. The ideal candidate will be an organized, creative, detail-oriented, culturally sensitive team player who can inspire, mentor, and support the shelter advocates and establish strong working relationships with other YWCA departments. Additionally, they would have management experience within a residential setting, and a background dealing with clinical responses to crisis management. Responsibilities:
 Oversee the nighttime duties of advocates in the domestic violence crisis shelter.
 Oversee security in the domestic violence shelter.
 Assist the RSD with the hiring of shelter staff.
 Assist the RSD with the clinical support of staff.
 Supervise, develop, provide, and coordinate advocacy services and referrals for women and children who are victims of family violence.
 Maintain statistical records and collect demographic data related to participants served.
 Administer client satisfaction surveys and program evaluations for shelter programming.
 Assist with management of grants, contracts and licensing, including file compliance.
 Articulate and promote high ethical standards in all YWCA programs, activities, and services, and with all public agencies.
 Establish and maintain effective working relationships with YWCA staff and any other organizations and individuals important to the success of the YWCA’s work.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
 Commitment to empowering women and eliminating racism.
 Bachelor’s degree and SSW eligibility strongly preferred. Some college education or post secondary education in human services or business related area required.
 Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
 Strong supervisory and management skills with a minimum of two years related experience, preferably in a residential setting.
 Commitment to program excellence and accountability.
 Excellent computer, organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
 Knowledge of domestic abuse, the impact of family violence on children, and homelessness.
 Must be flexible and able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
 If driving on agency business, a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance are required.
 Ability to relate positively to people of diverse ages, ethnicity, socio-economic levels, beliefs and lifestyles.

Reports to: Director of Shelter Services
Hours: Full-time, exempt, Night time manager (8:30 pm – 5:00 am)
Salary: DOE plus benefits and an excellent retirement plan
