|Description of Work||The Department of Psychology and the Center on Children, Families and the Law (CCFL) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln are seeking applicants with national recognition in research, social policy and/or program development to direct CCFL, a nationally known training and research center within the College of Arts and Sciences. CCFL’s approximately 50 faculty and staff conduct policy-relevant research, provide program evaluation, and design/provide training for human service and legal professionals.
The Director of CCFL will report directly to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and serve as a faculty member in the Department of Psychology. CCFL’s research and projects have a reputation for excellence and innovation in child and family welfare policy and practice locally, regionally and nationally. The Director will provide leadership for CCFL’s faculty and staff, and administrative oversight of CCFL. The successful candidate will have the academic experience and accomplishments that qualify for the rank of Full Professor.
Responsibilities will include maintaining an active program of research, including the pursuit of external funding, and teaching one course per year in Psychology.
|Minimum Required Qualifications||Qualifications include a Ph.D. in psychology or a related field, and a record of achievement in academic research and teaching, including a successful publication record. Experience in obtaining and managing grants is also required.|
|Preferred Qualifications||Leadership experience in an organization that seeks and receives grant funding is preferred.|
